Founded in 2011, Ahavas Torah Center has become a vibrant anchor of Torah life in the heart of Henderson, Nevada. Our mission is to cultivate a warm, welcoming community deeply rooted in the pillars of Torah, Tefilah, and Chesed — where every Jew feels empowered to grow in their Judaism and connect meaningfully with others.
In 2025, we opened a beautiful new shul facility designed to support our kehilla with inspiring davening, engaging learning, and a sense of belonging. From daily minyanim and weekly shiurim to our year-round Night Seder and active chesed network, the ruach of Ahavas Torah Center is tangible.
Henderson is proud to have a centrally located Luxury Spa Women’s Mikvah (built in partnership with Mikvah USA in 2020) and an upgraded Mehadrin Eruv (2024 – with Rabbi Mordechai Paretzky), ensuring halachic infrastructure that matches the strength of our community values.

Rabbi Yitzchok & Rebbetzin Debbie Summers
Rabbi Yitzchok and Rebbetzin Debbie Summers joined Ahavas Torah Center in Chanukah 5786, relocating to Henderson, Nevada to lead and grow our vibrant and expanding Torah community.
Rabbi Summers brings nearly four decades of rabbinic leadership and educational experience. From 1987 until his move to Henderson, he served as Rav of Anshe Emes in Los Angeles, where he helped build a dynamic center of Torah, tefillah, and community life. He received Semicha from Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem (MTJ) and the Rabbinical Seminary of America (Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim), and holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
A dedicated mechanech, Rabbi Summers has taught in numerous respected institutions, including Bais Yaakov of Los Angeles, Valley Torah High School, and Ateres Bnos Ita Girls High School in Las Vegas. He is widely appreciated for his clarity in halacha, deep knowledge of Jewish history, and his thoughtful, approachable style.
Rebbetzin Debbie Summers is known for her warmth, sincerity, and genuine care for individuals and families. With decades of experience in community life, she brings wisdom, sensitivity, and hospitality that strengthen the fabric of the kehilla.
Together, Rabbi and Rebbetzin Summers are committed to growth in Torah learning, strengthening family and community bonds, and helping Ahavas Torah Center continue to flourish as the heart of the Henderson Jewish community.

Rabbi Ezra Kier
Rosh Kollel - Kollel Chaim Yitzchok
Rabbi Ezra Kier was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He learned at Yeshiva Toras Chaim of Miami for three years, followed by eleven years of Beis Medrash and Kollel in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens where he received his Rabbinical ordination. Rabbi Kier led SEED programs in Harrisburg, PA and Las Vegas. He served as the librarian in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim for 7 years, and as a Rabbinic intern at Khal Toras Emes in Flushing NY for two years.
Rabbi Kier graduated the Merkaz Teacher Training Program under the instruction of renowned educator Rabbi Yoel Kramer, as well as the Chinuch Summer Intensive Teacher Program under the guidance of Rabbi Elimelech Gottlieb. He was a substitute teacher in Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe, Yeshiva Ketana of Queens and Yeshiva Derech Hatorah for two years, as well as an individual learning instructor in Yeshiva of Central Queens. Rabbi Kier teaches third grade Torah studies and seventh and eighth grade Torah Studies at YDLV in Henderson.
In January 2022, Rabbi Kier accepted the position of Rosh Chabura of Kollel Chaim Yitzchok in Ahavas Torah Center and continues to bring Torah to life to all ages with his classes.
In February 2024, Rabbi Kier accepted the role of Rosh Kollel of Kollel Chaim Yitzchok & Ahavas Torah Center. In this enhanced role, Rabbi Kier will be managing all Tefila, Dvar Halacha, and Shabbos Drashas. His commitment to Torah study, heartfelt Tefila, and dedication to being Mekadeish Shem Shamayim embody the qualities that define our vibrant community.
