Health food stores on the West Coast of the United States began selling pureed fruit drinks in the 1930s, based on recipes that originated in Brazil. It has since been observed that smoothies taste better when enjoyed in the company of friends and combined with Torah. To test this out, the ATC women got together for a class on “The Jewish Way In Marriage and Intimacy” delivered by Mrs. Frimie Fromowitz, combined with a Tu B’shvat-inspired smoothie bar.
